Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey guys. So I've been thinking with a long time of starting my own blog. I've been gearing towards using WordPress as the blog platform but I was just wondering how do you get your own website name (www.whatever.ie). Like how do you get the (ie) at the end? Do you buy it and if so how would you go about it and how much would it cost approximately??? Thank you x

You have to pay to register a domain www.whatever.ie and for hosting.

Google will give you plenty of results. You have to provide documentation for a ie domain

Barely any documentation required since earlier this month.
The need to show a ‘claim to the name’ when registering a new .ie domain was removed from March 21st 2018.

Applicants still need to prove their real connection to the island of Ireland, and their identity, when applying for a .ie domain.
