Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I seen one in the flesh recently and they look ridiculous imo - a very accquired taste that won't age well. When you think of how well older honda type R cars have aged.

Yep. Looks like a powerful aircompressor was used for giving it that shape

That's part of the appeal to me, it's just so uncompromising. Like they let the 16 year old designer free on it, and then rushed it through to production before the accountants saw it. Can't wait to buy one in 10 years!:D (Except nobody will buy any because of how ridiculous they look)

Which car are you talking about? If Type R it is obviously petrol.

Yes the type r. I thought I seen on awhile ago, older model, until he started up his mighty diesel :( fair play to the owner for going all out of its a proper type r!

Oh yea I forgot about people doing that. I'm not up to date on prices as I never check them but I wonder how much of a price difference there is between a diesel civic and type R after adding the body kit and type R interior and such. Would it be even worth your while. Personally I think you would just be better off buying the type R as that is the car you obviously want if after doing such modifications.

Don't think it would be as quite appealing if the bonnet was always up.

Finnish registered VW Crafter camper van in Clontarf today. The characters don't denote a location but even Helsinki in the south in 3,000 km from Dublin

    Far? .. I wouldn't consider 3,000km "far".

I wouldn't bat an eyelid at a Romanian or Bulgarian Reg'd car which would be further distance wise and which I have seen plenty of.

    Blurred now anyway.

No, I have one and like the wheels(if its yours) on it. Mine is fairly original and was looking for some wheel ideas.

Ah nice one! A gti yeah? It's mine alright. The wheels are 15" OZ Superturismo's anyway but not sure of the exact model, they look a lot better when the car is actually clean.

That was only until 1972, but I suppose there is a good chance still that its from there

Total waste of time. The people who know what an m5 is will know its not an m5, those who dont know what an m5 is wont care.

It's gas to see as years go on which cars begin to come into price range for lads that do that sh1te to their cars. Seems the F10 is next to be slaughtered. Pity, as that was a lovely car to begin with.

I'd say they'll be alright. It's hard enough to say what will be ruined next - take the Mk5 GTI as an example, sure some have been driven into the ground but at least the vast majority of them haven't got a stupid bodykit on them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73,477 ✭✭✭✭colm_mcm

Mk7 Golf regular type is about to hit ballbag money so you'll soon see a lot of them with big sun visors
