    Hi,

i'm getting the train from galway to heuston and i'm heading on to the airport. I don't know heuston well.. Just wondering where do I get the 748 bus from? Does it stop near the main entrance to the airport?

Also, can I buy a return ticket for the 748 on the bus - or do I need to buy it in heuston itself? Would the return ticket last 4 days?

    Any help appreciated.
    Thanks

Get off the train and walk straight up the platform and keep going straight out through the concourse and out the main doors. The bus stops are straight in front of you with the Luas stop just beyond.

The fare is 6 Euro payable to the driver. Don't think a return fare is possible in your case.

Depending on time, it may take up to an hour to get to the airport.

    Airlink return ticket is €10.00.

Set-down is right outside the airport terminal. http://www.dublinairport.com/at-airport/airport-maps/short_stay_park.html

If you make the trip regularly, it might be worth your while getting a multi-day Rambler ticket (I'm not sure if you can buy them in Heuston, but you can at the CIÉ desk in the airport and any newsagent with the Dublin Bus logo). http://www.dublinbus.ie/fares_and_tickets/daily.asp

Sorry to reopen an old thread but how long does the journey take between from Airport to Heuston?

It will vary, but perhaps 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Scheduled time is 45 minutes.
