Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Bmw E30 shock absorber problem

So have a slight issue with my front shock absorbers on 1990 bow 316i. On the specs it says that it's a 45mm strut, however having taken the shock out and measured it the shock itself is 45mm wide and 42cm long. I've ordered both 51mm strut and 45mm strut shocks for it but both of them ended up being 38mm wide and 43.5 cm long. Having some trouble trying to source some shocks, possibly could he due to the car being lowered? Anyone have any idea where I could source these shocks ?
    Thanks in advance

Enter your VIN on the BMW Classic Shop to see what was on there, and you can cross reference the part number.

No luck, ended up ordering a whole set of coilover cause according to the seller the shocks are shorter 415mm vs the stock ones which come at 430mm
