Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Say in a chairs match though, or a no DQ match. Why wouldn't ya burst someone in the head with the chair (kayfabe of course)

No reason, there never would be. Its better to just ignore it.

Sure aren't closed fists supposed to be banned too in kayfabe?

What was the last cage match to use the old blue steel cage?

At a guess I think it was the old school Monday Night Raw they did awhile back!

Around 1999. The still used the big bar cage at St. Valentine's Day Massacre (although it was black). I think that might have been the last time they used it.

Maybe Summerslam 97 for blue, mankind v HHH

Im pretty sure they used it on one of the UK exclusive shows in 01 or 02 and its been in storage in the UK ever since.

Brief history of WWF cage matches and the blue cage:

They didn't always use the solid blue bar cage but I think Wrestlemania 2 in 1986 (Hulk Hogan vs King Kong Bundy) might have been the first appearance of it. They had previously used mesh cages.
    • In Your House Breakdown 1998 The Rock v Ken Shamrock v Mankind (possibly first time they used an overhead rig to lower the cage over the ring)
    • Raw Novemer 2 Kane sets blue cage on fire while Steve Austin and Big Bossman and/or Undertaker are fighting in it
    • St Valentine's Day Massacre Steve Austin v Vince McMahon (blue solid bar cage painted black)
    • Unforgiven 1999 Big Bossman v Al Snow Kennel from Hell match - Cell and blue cage over the ring.
    • Rebellion 1999 Triple H v The Rock (solid bar cage painted black, last appearance)
    • Raw October 1999 Test vs British Bulldog in a mesh cage (possibly first appearance).
    • Rebellion 2000 Edge vs Christian (black solid bar cage)

Unless they painted the Valentine's Day Massacre cage blue just for the Kennel in Hell match only to repaint it for Rebellion a few days later, then there was more than one. None of this accounts for cage matches at house shows. And I didn't see the Old School Raw mentioned.

Also, the curent steel cage with three vertical beams on each side debuted at Extreme Rules 2013 in the Brock Lesnar v Triple H match

May have been asked before but I'll ask anyway,

Did the WWF/E even consider hiring Mike Tenay?

So I guess they did hire him for one night only on Smackdown last night.

Anyone order on pro wrestling tees before? Have heard of them, and I really want the Cody Bullet Club shirt. Anyone any experience?

Does anyone know how Pete Dunne does the finger breaking spot? I've never been close enough to the ring to spot it and on tape it usually is hard to see where the audible crack comes from.

I posed this question in the IT forum, but got no response...
I'm a casual WWE fan but have always admired their promo packages for Wrestlemania and the like. How do WWE make the promo videos? Is it motion graphics software?
This is one of my favourites:

    I imagine it's after effects

I was just reading up a bit on Harley Race and saw this interesting tidbit on his Wikipedia page.
Race was one of six men to have been inducted into each of the WWE Hall of Fame, the NWA Hall of Fame, the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame.

I've since managed to find Lou Thesz, Ric Flair, and Dusty Rhodes. Who are the others?

Edit: looks like Nick Bockwinkel was another.

Looks like Buddy Rodgers meets the criteria too.

Hi, this is probably a better thread than setting up a new one. Got son tickets for the three arena thing in November. He has a kickboxing tournament on that afternoon. It says 5 pm on the ad but surely that’ll change. Does anybody remember what time doors normally open and show normally starts.
The coach will want to know if he can attend the tournament as soon as possible.

Oh and what are the chances of Chris Jericho being there. ( I was a jericoholic back in the day)
Would there be a rough guess from the lads who still follow who might turn up?

Jericho is signed to a different company at the moment so he won't be there. He's actually their world champion!

Everyone outside of Brock Lesnar, John Cena and Undertaker should be there.

Here's a dedicated thread to ask things like this in.

    No.

WWF didn't run any shows here between 1995 and 2004 which was the main period of Rock's career before films and his brief run 2011-2013.

WWF started running shows in Europe around 1989 into the early 90s but Hogan never appeared on any of the Dublin dates and he wasn't with WCW when they ran a show here in 1993.
