    Hello,

I'm trying to find details on the `equine society`.

I'm working on a story on abandoned horses and want to make contact with someone who has had a horse/pony left on their land.

If you are in that position please contact me.

My message here might be too late but I would suggest you contact the ISPA officer in your area. They should be able to point you to someone who would be willing to talk to you.
I would also suggest trying local authorities.

Be careful, though. the areas were horses are often abandoned can be dangerous. Try the horse shelter in Wicklow too. They often take in abandoned horses.
    Best of luck.
