Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The Irish Club Championships take place this weekend in Ballinasloe. 6 teams have entered (listed below by seeding and according to average rating)
    1. Gonzaga (2136)
    2. Adare (2108)
    3. Galway (1919)
    4. Ennis (1858)
    5. Blanchardstown (1795)
    6. Ballinasloe (tba)
Hard to see beyond either Gonzaga and Adare for top spot, with the other club battling it out with Galway for second. The inclusion of Ballinasloe helps to avoid a bye but if they are significantly weaker than the other teams then one could argue that, given that there are just 4 rounds, it could affect final outcome. It should be an interesting weekends chess anyway! I'll try post some updates on my blog during tournament and possibly there will also be coverage on icu one though thats not confirmed

Anyone got results? Adare were looking good after day one I believe.

    Final Results
    1. Adare
    2. Galway
    3. Ennis
    4. Gonzaga
    5. Blanchardstown
    6. Ballinasloe

Adare won it but I think even they would have to admit they were jammier than a very jammy, jammy dodger in doing so. You can read it about it at my blog if you like
