Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi folks..

I'm wondering if some of you can be of help to me.So there are far more problematic things going on in our world thatn F1 at the moment but I am missing it 😅

I'm struggling to get my hands on the F1 2019 PS4 game. I'm not a gamer but I need to fill the game in my weekends. If you could inform me where I can source one...Thank you, I would be thrilled.

The only place I see stock available is https://www.game.co.uk/en/m/f1-2019-2675046
for £40 plus shipping. I would advise checking for 2018 as it would probably be cheaper if you can find it.

Bad timing. It was down to €20 on psn until yesterday. At this stage I'd wait on 2020, it's out at the start of June.

Anyone who hasn't yet, should sign up to Epic games and take advantage of the free €10 voucher they give newcomers. Atm you could use it to get The Witcher III GOTY edition for a fiver, Assassin's Creed Odyssey for 9.79 or Control for €20. Or, just hold on to the voucher, it's good until your first purchase of any game 14.99 or above until November.

You can't get the Witcher for a fiver.
Voucher only applies to 14.99 and over, Witcher is 14.98. Still superb value at that though.

On top of the others you mention, from looking yesterday, you can get Journey to the Savage Planet for about 8 quid, AC: Origins for a fiver (it's bang on 14.99), Satisfactory for 17. Also, GTA 5 is free until Thursday.

Voucher isn't just for newbies, it's just part of the sale. I got one at Christmas and another yesterday. Plus if you buy a game for over 14.99, you get another voucher.

Fantastic promotion. I had my eye on a recent enough rpg called called Outward, mixed reviews but looks like something I'd enjoy. Didn't want to gamble at 40 bucks, but with the sale and the voucher it works out at 5.99 so I'm sorted.

Good point, didn't think of the 14.98, I only bought TW3 very recently on Steam - just the standard edition and paid a little more than that so definitely worth it for GOTY Ed. I have considered AC Odyssey, but playing one huge epic game in enough at a time for me at least

I'll hold the voucher maybe, see if anything comes up in the next couple weeks

Just got this yesterday on Xbox live for PC [another good deal, get it for €1 for the first month, 3.99 p.m there on] - Gave it a quick blast last night, looks like it'll be fun, love the wit from the characters.

Another freebie unlocking in an hour on Epic, rumours suggest it will be Civ VI. With Bordelands next week and Ark the following:

    https://screenrant.com/epic-games-store-free-games-may-june-2020/

I'm tempted to use my €10 voucher on Maneater, which is avaible from tomorrow, looks like fun. Pretty much Hungry Shark in PC form with a loose storyline [they claim it's an RPG]

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,941 ✭✭✭✭ShaneU

If Civ VI doesn't include the expansions it's a bit pointless

Surely the game was initially released without expansions and was fine?

But, since they gave GTA V free as the premium bundle, who knows. We'll know soon enough

Think its just the base game.

Civ 6 up for free on Epic

Just the base game. The Platinum Edition upgrade is €40 (30 with voucher), which seems a bit steep.

Still, there's probably more than enough in the base game to keep me going

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,577 ✭✭✭DeSelby83

There was also an update for the base game today.

This is a bit confusing - shows up in the library with a "1 DLC" indicator, and the launcher just has one DLC available.

So maybe it does include some older DLC? I don't have time to check in more detail now.

Based on the version number in the main menu (1.0.1.501) it includes the May 2020 update DeSelby83 mentioned

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,284 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

When I purchased it it said "Aztec DLC ready to Install".

I always do it through the launcher and found I had to search for it as it wasn't on the front page. Just had the Mystery Game picture still and clicking didn't bring me to the game

Weird, I did it through the Epic launcher too and I didn't see that DLC message - might have missed it though.

I did see it in the main page on the launcher though. Weird.

It does include Aztec as a starting civ, but looks like that was a gated pre-order exclusive that was released to everyone after 3 months.

Doesn't appear to include any other DLC, only ruleset available is "Standard Rules" , and don't see any of the other DLC civs as starting options.

    Still, free Civ!

Just tried clicking on the "New Frontier Pass" DLC in the Civ 6 launcher to see what that is - it brings me to the 2K store and an error saying it can't find the product description. From googling, it seems to be a new set of DLCs to be release over the next year, elements of some require additional existing expansions. Bit weird though that that's the only DLC you can buy through the launcher.

I tried to buy Maneater using my €10 voucher on Epic and it's a no-go, might be because it's still on 'preorder'? Maybe tomorrow it'll work?

Bought the Assassins creed Odyssey Ultimate for €24 last night. -67% off the purchase plus another tenner off from epics voucher. Steal of a price.

I was pondering on just getting the standard edition, with the voucher I can have that for €9.79, what's stopping me is I'm stuck into the Witcher III atm and wouldn't have the time to dedicate to both. Maybe at some point though when there's similar deals on.

Just a note on Maneater, I was able to use my voucher to purchase it but I just didn't really like the game, played 1.5hs and was already a bit bored. So I applied for refund, and it was accepted as I played less than 2hrs. Thankfully my voucher was also returned.

Don't forget that the Gold and Ultimate Editions of Odyssey come with AC:III Remastered as well as all the dlc. The additional cost is worth it.

Hmmm, that does sound nice, I need to clear some time before diving into another epic sized game though. The W3 is just so time consuming

AC III was not a fun game by any stretch either. Almost as bad as Unity

So you're saying the extended package isn't really worth the extra? because tbh I doubt I'd play AC III, just want to play Odyssey

The base game isn't the best AC has to offer, it's dlc which is included is great though.

I think you just answered your own question. If it was free, great go for it. Seeing as it's extra .....

It's double the price to get the extras, so if AC III isn't all that it's a bit wasted for me. I'll wait a while either way as like I say, the Witcher already takes up a lot of my time. If I wasn't stuck into that I'd definitely give Odyssey a try

I don't think ACIII is any extra - it's included with the Season Pass. The Season Pass has about 40-50 hours of extra content for Odyssey, and the ACIII and AC: Liberation games are just nice extras. I think the Ultimate vs Gold is just extra weapons/exp boosts etc

Think so. I'd get the Gold as it has the season pass and ignore the Ultimate edition.

Cheers, hadn't checked on Epic in a while. I had a €10 voucher on there already [for any game above €15 I think] - I take it they don't stack? that would be a bit too generous.

While on there I spotted this 'coming soon' game that looks like it might be something:
