Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Just breaking on BBC.

BBC News - Heathrow airport: Drone sighting halts departures
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-46803713

Just watch ALL drones being outlawed in the near future due to this.

Is this an actual drone or merely the 'appearance' of a drone?

    False flag or drone equivalent?

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

North runway closed as a 'precaution', the South runway still open.
200,000 people per day are serviced by LHR.

Gatwick was closed for 30hrs, hopefully not the same here.
The tabloids today talked about having bazooka-nets on standby,
sure they need those net catchers for the moped gangs.

Farcical. Borrow a leaf out of the Israel playbook and repel these at distance.

It’s a drone, not a poor brown person!!

And its at 99% utilization. Room for about 60 seconds of delay a day

I was wondering why they went for Gatwick instead of Heathrow before. Must have been a practice run.

If they don't knock this stuff on the head pretty sharpish, flight prices will become prohibitively expensive again :(

    Joke of a country.

Sure they had no photos of the last drone, or could say there actually was one at all.

Transport reporter on BBC said Heathrow has drone countermeasures.

Yea. Next thing they'll be seeing moving statues.

    A what now?

A poor brown person, the Israelis are pretty adept at repelling those from a distance, they could use the same snipers that shoot unarmed Palestinians to shoot down the drones!

the inertia in British administration is spectacular. there is no motivation to act independently or get things done. If these drone flights had happened here the anti-drone tech would have been bought and implemented within a week. And please no negative replies. have worked abroad and well travelled. Ireland does things incredibly well in most areas in comparison to other countries, though perfection not yet achieved
