Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The bad news stories just keep coming this week. Truly frightening story that 5 girls could have been abused over a 7 year period without anyone getting arrested.

Whilst perpetrated in the UK I find it astounding and terrifying that such large scale abuse could be carried out unchecked (the Catholic Church was a powerful and feared organisation). Of course, this scale of child exploitation is not uncommon in the UK as there have been several revelations and prosecutions publicized over the past number of years.

But there must be lessons learned at an institutional level and the authorities must confront the failings head on to ensure something like this does not happen again.
