Predictions Only Irish championship

Yes folks it's back and likely to be even more fiercely contested this year than ever. Some people thought that the scoring last year was a bit convoluted so the format has changed.
Each round you pick three games,,,,,,,,you get 2 pts for any of those games that are drawn and 5 points for each that results in a win for the lower rated player. You get nothing for any of the games that the higher rated player wins. So you aren't actually naming the results, just picking the games that you think could surprise. Maximum score per round is 15 pts.
I want to see a good clean contest,no gouging, kicking or head butting, no petrol bombing of houses, no poisonous snakes in the letterbox or ringing people at 3 a.m to deprive them of sleep all of which we saw in last years competition.

Probably a lesson to be learned somewhere there.

I think juniors are the way to go this week - no rated games since March means many could be underrated. I'll go for Putar v Murray, Daly v Venkatesan and Collins v Jackson

Predicting rounds but if you predict the 1,2,3 that will be used in the event of a tie break.

Just to note you don't need to tip someone to win/draw. You're just picking the ties which may have an upset. If it's a draw, you get points; if the lower-rated player wins, you get points.

So a bumper field of 24 players! It's amazing how many lurkers we have on here.

Only one duck egg, and while we had a few players tipping themselves, I don't think anyone scored points for it.

B/F is the score brought forward from the previous round (obviously 0 for everyone here). Rd tot is the round total, and Score is the total at the end of this round. 1, 2 and 3 then are the individual scores for your three tips.
