    Hi guys.
Sorry for another of these threads. Looking for some recommendations please. I’m looking for a new daily watch. I have a nice gold watch which in wearing too much for every day use. I’d rather keep it for more fancy wear.

So what I am looking for is a silver/aluminum watch with metal strap. Preferably a simpleish face and preferably not black (navy/blue ideally). I’m not gone on the diving twisty things.
I have like the seiko titanium in the past.

    Many thanks.

At that price point you have few interesting options. Probably Asian, digital or grey market.

    Citizen AW1240 £163.97
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Citizen-Supertitanio-AW1240-Wrist-Watch/dp/B00JWRP5FC/

Eco drive (solar recharging), sapphire crystal (scratch resistant), titanium case & band (which you said you liked before). Blue face.
It's a good price at the link above although there's only one unit left from the looks of it.

Aren't there loads of Seikos that look like that (pretty much) for that kind of money? I'd have thought you'd be well served for (admittedly quartz) 100m dressy/sports/chrono seikos for your budget

So my watch wont arrive until next week. Having a look on Amazon at the Black Friday deals I came across this Seiko which is pretty much identical and only £100 on sale.

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00MCBF46U/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

So i've bought it and i'll return the Citizen.

FYI it is definitely not identical.

It has a hardlex crystal rather than sapphire - less upmarket and easier to scratch.

The end links (where the bracelet joins the watch) are of the cheap folded type...something I dislike personally.
From up close the bracelet links on the Seiko have a visible seam on the side, betraying the fact that they are of folded construction rather than drilled (albeit quite well-done for folded links).

The case and bracelet are of stainless steel rather than titanium so its less 'fancy' (for lack of better word) and heavier. (however steel may wear & tear better in the long run)

Overall it's quite a different watch, and certainly lower quality. All that said, it's much more affordable watch and available instantly. So if that's what you like then go for it. When I recommended the other one I assumed it would ship instantly.

Have you had a look at the Obris Morgan Explorer? I bought the Predata model in sand-blasted finish with a dark-blue dial a few years back. The bracelet is a work of art in itself. IMO it's an astounding timepiece for the money. https://wornandwound.com/review/obris-morgan-explorer-review/

@tac that is a beautiful watch.

@teotwawki I appreciate your feedback. I only really need an every day watch. I dont mind to much about scratching it up at that price although i'd rather not.

I have my eye on another watch now as well. Tis a dangerous game looking at all these watches.
