Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Agree someone in the marketing team didn't think about it before they put the offer together, I say the voucher might be gone from the website soon when they notice their mistake.
May take some time to realise their mistake.
Process of coupon travelling from consumers through retailers, distributors and wholesalers before extent of problem is recognised.

Sorry am I missing something? It says the coupon is valid until the end of sept and against one purchase. Is it not a bit of a stretch to say its free milk until the end of 2012? Or am I completely missing something?

It is valid until the 31st of december (end of year) and once you have it saved, you can print out as many as you want. Barcode is the same for each one.

Not redeemable against any other product or in conjunction with any other promotion. Valid only in the Republic of Ireland. Full terms and conditions available from Glanbia. Anyone know the laws about coupons and such? Are shops obliged to take them everyday? And are avonmore allowed to discontinue the offer?

The poor farmers are going to suffer as a result of this!!

Went looking for this in my local Supervalu.

Had a few different Avonmore milks, but not the carton on the coupon..

    Used it twice in Tesco
Tried using the self service but screen message requires a member of staff to imput the value,
When she figured out how to do it, She put throught the 2 coupons for me.

Don't think people should milk this offer or it is likely to turn sour

Sipping very sweet Avonmore milk today after a visit to Dunnes.
Like to thank Avonmore for this initiative in difficult economic times.

I see that they have stopped providing vouchers.

Not really the smartest campaign by the marketing team.

Will that milk coupon work at self service checkout say in superquinn or tesco?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 365 ✭✭hairyairyfairy

NORMALLY, when a coupon is for a free item the attendant will be called to manually enter the amount of the discount, on the self service till, so while it will technically scan, you will need assistance anyways to enter the amount

    I thought so.
So make sure to have a few things being bought so i'm not just walking in and out with essentially robbing a carton of milk. :pac:

Avonmore are aware their coupon has been copied and have apparently cancelled that code.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 751 ✭✭✭SeanPuddin

It hasn't been copied, they put it up for printing, what do they expect people to do?

So where did you hear this from anyway?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,731 ✭✭✭brian_t

I know someone who works in Avonmore. By liking their Facebook page you got the chance to print off a coupon for free milk.
They pulled the promotion when they realised a copy of the coupon was freely available on boards.

What did they put it up for if they didnt want it printed out?

I liked the page on Facebook, got a link to the PDF and printed it many times. It's Avonmore's dumb mistake.

Did they actually say they have pulled the coupon?

If anyone could confirm that the coupon no longer works that'd be great. My nearest Avonmore selling shop is miles away. Need milk for my coco pops.

To be honest I think they expected people to print just one copy.

It may take a while for the cancellation to work it's way into the system.
But I think you should assume that it's days are numbered.

Incredible that the marketing department of such a big business can fail with what should be a straightforward voucher campaign.

    It's not Avonmore's fault, it's boards.ie the hacking baxtards!

Lol @ avonmore claiming it was a breach of T&C's on our part. It was their shoddy idea to make it a easily copiable PDF. Did they expect no one to give it a go. :pac:
