Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Nursing Homes Top up Fees

    Hi All,
We are looking for a nursing home for our mom. We heard that we have to be very careful when selecting a home to see what kind of top of fees we will have to pay on top of the standard weekly rate covered by Fair Deal and how often they are allowed to increase it. Does anyone have any experiences of what the top up fees look like in the care homes you use? Are these explicit or how should we research this in advance? We don't want to put our mom into one care home and then have to move her because we can't afford the additional fees.
Thank you for all your help
