Ditto for Dublin , I'm sorry it won't reserve for me. Looks like it would be a great e-reader.
I tried several times to 'reserve it in store for pickup 30th- 2nd Dec' but it kept going round in hoops, at the end f the process saying No order was made etc. Ah well, i'm sure there will be some good 'Black Friday' deals around on tablets if these are sold out.

I hesitated at first, because pre-kitkat (4.4), the webview used to render apps on Android tablets was based on Webkit, so app performance was unpredictable because of the quirks in Webkit.
From kitkat onwards, apps are rendered using a webview based on Chromium (chrome) so they perform much better.
But while the webview under kitkat is based on Chromium(32 or so), under Lollipop(5.0) the webview is updated from the Play Store every 6 weeks along with chrome on the desktop. So there is typically a big difference in app performance between pre-kitkat and post-lollipop. This tablet is based on pre-kitkat.

However, according to this page, it will get updated to kitkat.

I am of course assuming the code is A8-50 A5500 , as according to this page, the

-Lenovo A5500-F - Wi-Fi only (Mediatek MT8121)

-Lenovo A5500-H - Wi-Fi + 3G (Data only)

-Lenovo A5500-HV - Wi-Fi + 3G (Voice)
has the same specs as the one from Argos, unless I'm mistaken.

In any case, I shall be installing this custom ROM for lollipop.

Was there a reservation number on the email? at the moment they send out emails with no reservation numbers when you try to order these but there is no reservations placed:(

I tried a few times today but got an email with no code. Just tried again and got a code. Changed the way I received the email to text. Don't know if this made a difference.

Edit: Sorry checked that mail in a hurry that was cat number.ðŸ˜©

My granny died 10 years ago so my girlfriend could really use this tablet for her nieces Christmas present. **** off.

Or even better, if you don't want one then don't reserve one. Really annoying to see these threads then see some idiot saying. I reserved 5 and then changed my mind. Contact me for a code because I'm a hero. Or words to that effect

The tablet you linked is nearly identical, besides the processor, which is slightly newer.
