Whats the story with the minutes silence, Bosnia fans disrespecting the Paris shootings? Whats the history there?

    Not aware of any history.

a minutes silence isn't done that often in many parts of the world....
Not easy to keep a stadium quiet with some passionate fan bases.

    That's a stretch

Sounded like one or two fans shouting. They're probably drunk... hardly a huge deal all things considered

The Bosnian shouting for Keano is a disgrace

To be fair? He and the people that were booing are just as bad as the guy that shouted initially. They all disrespected and ignored the moment of silence

There were plenty of Irish people shouting so trying to blame just the Bosnian support is embarrassing.

Possibly... But shouting fck off at people during a minutes silence because they were disrespecting the minutes silence make him as bad as they IMO.

Not embarrassing enough for its own thread though.

I've French friends watching, I'd say they'd give a ****. I'd certainly be pretty upset if it had been people booing a massacre that had happened in Dublin.

    Booing a massacre?!

    Are you having a laugh?

About what? I was talking hypothetically.

    Hence the "if"...

I missed it. Did the RTE commentary team make any remark about it?

Well they weren't booing the massacre. They were booing at the people who initially disrespected the minute silence. Which is idiotic. The whole minute was a mess.

Anyone who witnessed it and concluded that people were 'booing a massacre' would be away with the fairies, speaking hypothetically!

I never concluded that. I said if that happened then I'd be pretty upset about it. Can easily see how certain people would care about something similar.

It sounded like most of the noise was coming from lots of well-meaning people telling someone to shut up.
