    OP

Can you post up the link in the email that you got.

My Guess is that it was from Dell Business.
I get them too, basically it says you have a voucher from 5% to 50% for use on dell business systems.
I've a small business and mostly got the 5%, maybe the odd 10%.
I'd say the 50% off code is reverved for large customers and only for use on a business account.

That's my (slightly educated) guess anyway

All the 3700 models come with at least an i3 cpu.
I imagine it's probably the lowest spec machine that's on offer which is
    17 inch screen
    core i3
    2 GB Ram
    Onboard Graphics
    250 GB HDD

Safe enough bet, our tech hounds here at boards will p** p** it soon enough and suggest much better alternatives. :p

    Indeed we will ;)

All joking aside, this could be a really good bargain alert if it turns out to be available to more than just a specific portion of Dell's user base.

is that an ex VAT price?? best I can get on the website now is 479 ex vat :(

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,531 ✭✭✭Zonda999

Not a business customer or anything but i got the same email this morning, and i only get a 5% discount. Just tried it with the same laptop there and it still working out at 718€ delivered, which is still an okay price for a laptop with a specification as good as this .The discount only being 5% is not surprising really, only ever bought one thing using that account and that was 3 years ago!

The same laptop for 392€ is an absolutely insane bargain to be fair, nice work if you can get it i would say! :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,081 ✭✭✭✭Liam O

    Has to be a windup!

If the OP can get more than one system, I'll gladly purchase one from him.

What I posted was a copy and paste from the Dell checkout. I will check out multiple buys tomorrow. If I use the discount code can the same code be used again?

Yes and no. Nvidia and ATi make dedicated graphics. Lately though ATI isn't the best... just my opinion.

Anyway the difference is that intergrated won't play most games in the last few years. Take a game like the newest Call of Duty. You might get it to run but it would like horrible on most intergrated graphics compared to a console.

Dedicated are just for image editing/gaming. For basics, no, most intergrated would be fine.

I'd be interested too, so long as it's not a scam... Are these coupons normally use once?

Fair enough on the copy and paste. Just seems way too good to be true!;)

As for using the discount code more than once, can you just use the code with the first order, but order 3/4/5 units under the same order?

Of course, if you want to send me on the email that Dell sent you, I'll gladly have a look at it! ;)
