Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Mothers walking and cycling kids to school

    It’s a national secondary road I’m talking about here. Very busy heavy traffic and mother’s walking their kids to school or some kids cycling at a snails pace wobbling all over the place.
    All for fitness and saving the planet by leaving the Dacia Duster at home but surely this is a road death statistic that is in the wait.

    Yeah, women and children in public. It's a disgrace. And using thoroughfares too! They should stay behind closed doors where they belong

    Ah ffs will you get over it. Everyone is wrapped in cotton wool these days with health and safety going beyond a joke.
    Nothing wrong with them walking or cycling to school.
    They'll be wearing hard hats and safety glasses in the classroom next in case the roof falls in

    If you feel its unsafe talk to your councillors. You shouldn't need a car to access a school.

    So very slow moving traffic. And adding another Dacia Duster will just slow it down more.

    You do realize it’s the “very busy heavy traffic” that’s causing the danger right? I mean remove the cars and there’s no problem walking or cycling.

    Shocking stuff altogether. All the people that drive their kids 300 meters to school in my area have such a positive contribution on our neighbourhood. I wish everyone would just row in.

    Ah the new Duster is fairly nice looking and the build quality/materials is far superior to the present models.

    I walk my kids to school because I don't drive. A mother scolded me for making them walk in the rain....they have full rain gear and wellies and it's a 5 minute walk away.

    I tried setting up a Walking Bus in my kids primary school about 8 years ago, had about 20 parents interested, got the local council involved and supporting - the school board turned it down - too dangerous apparently, so we'll continue to have loads of parents driving through the car park at the school gate at rush hour instead.
