Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've one of their discount cards around the house somewhere from buying stuff in-store. It's free and gives you further discounts both online and in-store: https://www.mountainwarehouse.com/eu/discount-card/

Not used it much but they do have a few stores about. Wexford town and Blanchardstown in Dublin off the top of my head.

Has to be said the quality isn’t amazing. I’ve bought a few things there and I wouldn’t have paid the pre-discount price for them.

Agree. Bought two raincoats, one lets in the rain, the other fell apart within 3 months. Kids shoes fell apart within 3 months and a cotton spf top was very narrow under the arms. Aldi/Lidl outdoor gear a million times better.

I've a few of their sweat wicking tops, happy out with them.

can someone explain this to me and why the hell from what I can see a €20 parasol can't do the same thing?

It can probably do something similar, but a parasol requires a big heavy base to be taken with you, and possibly doesn't fold up smaller than the parasol will. Also, possibly more stable in the wind as it won't topple over as it should be pegged into the ground

Now, saying that, I am not justifying the cost and there is no way I would buy it at that price, just explaining why it is different.

You'd bring something like this along on a festival weekender, much more stable than a parasol. They're completely different things, not sure why you'd bother comparing them tbh.

I don't know about it's quality but at that price it's definitely cheaper than the Coleman equivalent.

They always have these “sales” on

Best to buy only if you feel the price is fair....rather than because you feel it’s a bargain

Also quality isn’t as good as premium brands(but not so bad either

It's kind of like comparing an umbrella to a rain coat.
In theory the have the same purpose, but one is for idiots and the other is for people who believe in designing things to fit a purpose properly.
Good luck bringing your parasol and umbrellas on your next camping trip.
