Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Requesting guest specific gift.

I was wondering how common it was to request a specific gift from a specific person. I recieved a save the date which also informed me what gift they would like to recieve from me. Is that the norm now or is registry/gift still usual?

€500 is absolutely insane for a gift. Can you do something creative? If not, €100 will suffice.

If the wedding couple are not happy with that, then you need to re-evaluate the friendship.

Folks, Lau hasn’t come back to this thread in a long time, and although my opinion may be unpopular, I think the thread ran its course a very long time ago. I’ll leave it open for another short while, but unless there’s any significant to add, I plan to lock it and let it rest in peace.
