Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

What's the toughest hike to do in Dublin/Wicklow region?

Would like to do a tought 2.5-3 hours instead of an easier 3-4 as stuck for time on Saturday.

    Thanks in advance

A couple spring to mind and can be done within 3 hours (although the art's lough one would be stretching it):
    1. Art's lough near Lug - http://www.walkingroutes.ie/1031-Arts-Lough.html.
    2. The spink at Glendalough - http://www.walkingroutes.ie/1290-Glendalough-Spinc-route.html.

    Why not simply do your " easy 3-4 " in 2.5 - 3 making it a " tough one ";)

How do you define "tough"? What are you looking to achieve?

In about 3 hours you could go up and down Lug via Slievemaan. No running needed, just a brisk walk and not really having a break. A very satisfying walk if you ask me - in a very short time to go up Ireland's highest peak outside of Kerry :)

Can also do Lug from Aughavannagh in 3h

That's the only one of the main routes up Lug that I haven't taken myself, but it looks a much longer route than via Slievemaan. Would 3 hours return not be pushing it?
