Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So we can expect Tyrone McCarthy to leave and play for England if Smith thinks he is good enough and fulfilling his promise?

I can't say that I wouldn't do the same but the option should not be there in the first place.

Fingers crossed Ireland beat Wales next weekend. If its a close as the A match at the end of the season it should be a cracker!

That is what I would be afraid of exactly regarding the player you mention

The international rules allow switching but is not working in Irelands favour now, wonder if it ever did really

Going to be a really tough game. Wales had the advantage of a good and confidence inspiring warm-up against an underperforming English team and of course they've got home advantage to boot. I think we can shade it....but it's going to be a tough game. I also reckon it's going to be a high quality game given that its a winner takes all encounter.

Pat Richards is going to start. This is a major boost for Ireland. This is the only news thats coming from the camp apart from Scott Grix being out.

Ireland 12-0 up after 20 minutes, looking good so far in atrocious conditions

Only seen bits and pieces but two beautiful tries for Ireland.

Good first half, Ireland looking the better side for me, but Wales have come back strongly.

Is it just me or does Richards look disinterested?
    Get involved Pat!

****sake, switched it on surprised enough to see 24-12, and now 30-12, can't see this getting turned around.

"Out enthused" is what Andy Kelly called it, seemed about right. After the first half hour, Wales just seemed to have more desire. Shocking conditions (although not as bad as the Lebanon Scotland game).

Have to get back up for the 3rd/4th place play off now.

Its important that they put in a good performance against Lebanon to show that last night was a slip up and that the side are better than the performance

Total disintegration. Really, really didn't expect a loss of that magnitude or in that manner. We played some excellent, intelligent rugby for 30 minutes. Beswick managed the kicking game expertly, our pack was aggressive and dominant in the tackle and our defence was top notch...and then...well either the welsh woke up or we fell asleep....pretty inexplicable really...

Alot of indiscipline, poor handling (conditions nothwithstanding) and a total loss of cohesion/concentration...really disappointed with that.

On a plus, thought Bergin and Kerr went really well, with big Wayne making quite an impact. A lost opportunity, but really a defeat which was well deserved...Richards on the wing? hmmm perhaps not the best policy....come back Grix/Blanche...all is forgiven!

Well, the disaster continues. Ireland well beaten by Lebanon in a game that had to be moved to Maesteg because of the incessant rain today, 16-40. Sigh....catastrophe, no other word for it, this Euro cup's been a bit of a shambles from an Irish perspective.

Wales take the Euro cup by beating Scotland well, and Italy get a win against Serbia.

Doesn't sound like they ever got out of the blocks, 18 - 0 down after 20 minutes probably didn't give them a chance. Well there is always next time.

Is Andy Kelly the right man for the job? Personally I think its too early to think about a change but this has been a bit of a disaster for Irish Rugby League.
