Can anyone recommend a Shimano Hydraulic Brake Kit

Another +1 on Epicbleedsolutions. I got the twin syringe kit for my Ultegra setup and it works well. Bleed with wheels off and pads out with spacers in their place and you're not going to contaminate anything with unwanted brake fluid. Brother in-law picked up a Shimano kit for his MTB in Expert cycles in Rathfarnham last week but haven't heard how he's go on with it.

Don't think it makes much difference. So far as I know, the two syringes is a bit less messy when you come disconnect the waste fluid as you've a vacuum to avoid leaks. With the funnel, you put a stopper pin in once the bleed is complete to allow you remove it tidily. Only ever used the syringes myself.

For Ultegra it is also worth downloading the technical manuals on the levers. There's a small grub screw on each lever to control reach which effectively adds pressure to the fluid reservoir. From experience, I have that about 3/4s the way out prior to a full bleed and then tighten after the bleed to achieve the desired pressure. As pads wear you can also tighten this by a small amount to have the same lever travel on the worn pads as the new ones.
