Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

How do I pronounce the word 'doimhne' with a Munster pronunciation?

I looked it up online and all I can find is doimhneacht, the word for depth. The word is used as part of a phrase.

I presume it should be something like "Dy-na", am I right?

Dy-na was my immediate reaction, if that's any use to you.

If you understand the IPA, the pronunciation in Cork Irish is /deŋʹi/. This is given on p120 of The Irish of West Muskerry. This is approximately dengie in English spelling.

The i is short (which wouldn't be clear from dengie).
