I'd love to see a gamble taken on Dez Bryant. If they could get him on a mostly performance based/pay-to-play contract he'd be worth it.

Possibly...but fairly clear they expect more production from the about 6 receivers they have for next season.

I think this is it. They expect more from Lazard, mvs and with st brown coming back and fuchess added, funnily enough the patriots with a similar wide receiver group didn’t draft any wide receiver either, so maybe this group is deep but not as highly touted. In terms of the draft, I think we will be leaning more in the run game and use allot more play action. I like the guard from Michigan

Don’t forget Kumerow TE Sternberger, the punt return guy, and AaaronJones can catch too.

I guess Funchess won't be making much of an impact this season anyway...

Understandable from his point of view, but a big shame. Was looking forward to seeing how he fit into our system.

Yes, but not the worst guy who could opt out

Respect his decision, but really not a season changing event.

    Oooooooookaaay

    Almost ready to rumble

    Let’s look at the O-Line

    As I see it

    Bachtiari....Jenkins....Linsley....Taylor....Turner.

Wagner seems injured but how does that look.

Now moving on..... any ‘big names’ likely to be cut tomorrow Sat.

    Go Packers....

    Go Packers....

Turner has a knee injury, likely to miss at least some of the season

Right side of the line looking very ropey to me, especially playing Minnesota week 1

Not good so far..... should be 14 - 7 up.

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,112 ✭✭✭✭Brendan Bendar

    Should be 21-7 up

Rodgers last 2 mins saved that half

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,112 ✭✭✭✭Brendan Bendar

    They think it’s all over.......

No yet..... need a score on this drive.

Very good win. I didn't think we would go to Minnesota and come away with the win to be honest.

I did, no matter what we own that division until rodgers retired and stays injury free

Run defence was sh1t again. D kept coughing up scores too. Great to see the offence rolling like that.
A win on the road against a divisional rival....I’ll take that!

good performance from the offence, a bit of everything which is nice to see. i don't want to tempt faith but Aaron looks back to his old self, the throw to Adams for the first td was a beaut, vintage Rodgers. the defence held the vikings to 10 points over 3 quarters and im hoping they just took there foot of the gas for the final quarter. go pack go.

Yes, as I saw it too, Kenny Clarke injury was a factor I’m sure.

However, how the Vikes carved thru the Packers D in quarter four was concerning.

Thielen roasted Jaire big and I mean big... so let’s not get too cocky.

Lane Taylor out for the season.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,736 ✭✭✭peejay1986

I'm going with the "no news is good news" for Kenny Clark at the minute. Hopefully that's the case!

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,112 ✭✭✭✭Brendan Bendar

Luckily we are hitting the Lions when their injury list in the secondary is fairly long.

Would expect a fairly routine win.

Then the boy Thomas for the Saints is out for several weeks..........

Anyone think this could be like last season when the Packers racked up a pretty impressive record without being particularly impressive or ever really looking like contenders...

No, meeting a lot more top tier QBs this year.

    11-5 would be good.

I'd agree with this. It's a tougher schedule this year so I wouldn't expect the record to be as impressive as last year. In saying that, I think we're in better shape than previous.

No I’m completely on Rodgers is back hype train and I’m going to ride that train all the way to the Super Bowl

Kenny Clark out for Lions.......hopefully won’t make a huge difference.

What the Packers have to do

    1....Get to Stafford

    2... Stop Peterson.

    Would make it much easier.

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,112 ✭✭✭✭Brendan Bendar

    Terrible Quarter 1

Stafford un touched..... getting gouged down the middle again.......

Good win in the end, but those drops........

    Lot of work to do...
