Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Looking forward to this one ...

    Elvis Costello: Mystery Dance

    Friday Nov 8th 9pm (1 hour)
    Saturday Nov 9th 11.45pm (1 hour 35 minutes)

(The repeat is an extended version featuring more of the man’s live performances, recording minutiae, family background and later years , although it isn't listed as such. Also, the Friday showing is followed by a repeat of 'Later Presents: Elvis Costello in Concert)

Elvis Costello is one of the uncontested geniuses of the rock world. 33 albums and dozens of hit songs have established him as one of the most versatile and intelligent songwriters and performers of his generation. This film provides a definitive account of one of Britain's greatest living songwriters - the first portrait of its kind - directed by Mark Kidel ...

The film focuses in particular on his collaborations with Paul McCartney and Allen Toussaint, who both contribute. It also features exclusive access to unreleased demos of songs written by McCartney and Costello. Elvis was interviewed in Liverpool, London and New York, revisiting the places in which he grew up. The main interview, shot over two days at the famed Avatar Studios in NYC, is characterised by unusual intimacy. Elvis talks for the first time at great length about his career, songwriting and music, and often breaks into song with relevant examples from his repertoire.

Rock and Roll's Greatest Failure: Otway the Movie (2013) is available on Netflix. Had it on my list for ages and finally got around to watching it last week. Best thing I've watched in ages. Hilarious. Mad but very clever guy.
