Can garda I enter your home if they smell cannabis ?

Happened to me the other day. A garda called to the door looking for a previous tenant. Luckily the landlord doesn't allow smoking. Wondering where I would stand in the event I wasn't so lucky.

For drugs, not without a warrant. The guard may well have got one afterwards so you could get a surprise visit any time.
