What is going on at Paddy Power?

    Since the merger with Betfair, Paddy Power has gone to the dogs.
    From being one of the best shop bookmakers around, they are now one of the worst especially since they have started doing their own Horse Racing shows.
    According to the press release they said it would be in the punters interest.
    Mate who knows all about the betting industry has been keeping an eye on their show prices and compared them to the industry shows.
    In the majority of cases they are worse on most of the 1st or 2nd favs and some by a huge margin and their margins on the horse racing has increased.
    Some of the races, there are 2 or 3 horses which are lower and a couple higher.
    The main favs are all lower especially races where they have a money back special or an extra place race so pushing the bigger priced horses which most punters don't back.
    When the race goes off, the prices move to what SP will be and you have about 3 seconds to have a bet at the "correct price" before they go no more bets.
    They are still guaranteed prices but if you are backing a horse at 15/4 instead of 4/1 and it goes to 2/1, you are only getting the 15/4 instead of the 4/1 that everybody else is getting.
    Was watching them today and they were 5/2 Arcanears in the 5.45 Dundalk when everybody else was 3/1.
    They did have a money Back Special in that race, if 2nd to a bigger SP refund as a Free Bet but doesn't excuse all these ripping the customers off prices.
    2nd Fav was same price at 6/1 but 3rd fav was 11/2 in PP and was 6/1 elsewhere.
    Hasn't been a Double odds race in at least 2 years, horses or dogs these days only Money Back Refunds.

    If Paddy Power are so convinced what they are doing is right, why don't they advertise
    that they are doing their own prices and let the punters decide?
    Boylesports must be licking their lips.

    Their in shop football specials are a joke and on many occasions they are pulling the wool over punters eyes.
    The had a football special up yesterday Serbia, Albania and Czech Republic all to win was 11/10 now 5/4.
    However if you backed the 3 teams on their prices in the shop in a treble on the coupon,
    it worked out at 11/8 which is bigger than their "Enhanced" price and means they are telling porkies with the was price.
    This is happening nearly every day but guess most people won't know it.
    Also looks a like they have given up on Double 1st goalscorer odds if he scores a 2nd in the football, haven't been any in months.

    Not just football prices, golf this week they had priced up the Mayakoba golf and had 5 players under 20/1 ranging from 14/1 to 18/1 with a money back refund if your player finished 2nd, 3rd or 4th.
    Ladbrokes had the same tournanment priced up and they were 20/1 the field also with a money back refund if your backed player missed the cut.
    Boyles had same Money back as PP but were higher odds on the main players.

    If they continue going down this road in the shops, will only be a matter of time before
    they start to lose punters.

    Guess what they all exist to rip you off and they wont lose punters because the punters are addicts.

    They dont give one monkeys who moans about what. They are scammers. Every company will have punters with stories about them pulling nonsense. They do what they like. And every day they put more money into marketing to get hold of more young people (who don't have a clue how bad they are gonna get screwed) with ads all the way through any racing or football event.

    They have it sewn up every which way at this point punting on horses is a joke they will try to do you out of anything they can if you think you can beat them, good luck. But at a certain point you have to either get fed up and quit or live with their cute hoorness. no use in thinking your gonna get a fair shake and then being in bad form when you don't. They exist solely because of their ability to extract money and avoid paying out and avoid getting hammered on big priced winners. So crappy prices, super quick and last second price changes, restrictions and garbage special offers that arent worth squat are the norm now.

    They are poor today.
    NO Money Backs on the racing whatsoever, a few extra place races and nothing else of note.
    Cheltenham is the offers and they range from extra places to enhanced combo tricast/forecasts.
    Not great for the busiest day of the week.

    I'm going to report them for false advertising.
    They had up a Belgium & Wales double today both to win, 7/4 to 9/4.
    Belgium were 11/10 and Wales were 4/9.
    So backing them at the above individual odds gives you a 2.03/1 double.
    So the enhance then becomes 2/1 to 9/4 which doesn't look as big as "7/4" to 9/4.
    Was up at that most of the day, it's false advertising and becoming more and more frequent in the shops.

    They had a special up all day until k.o. in the NI v Netherlands match, M Depay
    to be 1st goalscorer enhanced from 7/2 to 9/2.
    Great special, just a pity he wasn't even in the squad which they
    would have known when the team was announced an hour beforehand. :confused:

    They’ve won this game. A long time ago.

    Prices aren’t their focus anymore

    I see the cash out in play data was wrong for at least the wolves v man city game, match was out by 15 mins (ahead on pp), very misleading and not even sure if it is actually illegal, lucky i spotted it and didn't cash out - had done a sly bet on the wolves

    They couldn't even put the score up on the Women's Champions League final last night, even though they did manage to put up about 5 actual markets on the game.
    Today you can see the score from Witton Albion vs Prescot Cables and Gent (Reserves) vs SC Dikkelvenne !!
