    Hi,

we got married 5 years ago and had a professional photographer (Paddy Clarke from Dundalk) take our wedding photos. They were great, but at the time we didn't arrange to have them printed, just digital copies on a custom USB key.

Anyone got any recommendations for somewhere that will perform the whole printing/binding/boxing of a wedding album ?

    regards,
    T

We used one of the online printers.
I'll find out from the Mrs when she gets home but at the time we were shopping around I do remember that they were exceptionally cheap compared to Irish options and the quality of the final product was spot on.

We got to pick the photos and design the entire layout page by page.
It really added to the personal effect IMO.

Go back to your photographer and get him to do it. Designing a wedding album is not the same as throwing a photobook of holiday snapshots together. There is specialist software available to photographers to enable them design albums and allow you proof them online etc.

I get all my personal stuff from Artifact Uprising. Love their quality. The used to have an EU branch but are US only now so you may get caught on import duty. Price is still good though for the quality. They have a built-in album design tool too to make layouts super easy.

That could cost a few hundred.
Sure, it'll look the part but you could do it yourself.
I got a lovely one on photobox as I wanted to mix in my own photos / guest photos with those our photographer took.
More than happy and it only cost around 65 quid.
We got the one from our photographer and it cost 450 quid but we look at the one I made more!

My daughter did hers on photobox and it’s fabulous and a fraction of the cost

Thanks for the suggestions, in particular the "Artifact Uprising" and "PhotoBox" recommendations.

I see PhotoBox has a 50% off offer before next Monday too.
Definitely worth a punt for one of their premium photobooks.

Didn't have a budget in mind as such, but can keep the other more dedicated professional sites as a Plan B.

    thanks,
    T

With the greatest of respect .... Creating a photo book and creating a wedding album are completely different.

For our wedding album my wife wanted a traditional images printed off and positioned in an old school album with pages - we can remove the images and write on them who is in it and put them back into the album.

More modern albums are similar to a photo book but the person putting a wedding album together usually has experience in page layout etc.

Most people will be happy with a photo book - in my opinion - most people don't know what good quality is.

With the greatest of respect I do know the difference . The OP was looking for online options on a budget
My daughters album suits her and her husband and your album suits you and your wife . We all differ and I would never question your decision . Sometimes people are much happier not spending a fortune , its their decision

    Hey OP.
Wife has confirmed we used Photobookworldwide for ours.
She went with all the options, presentation box and all the printing and customisation bells and whistles.

I do note that a certain poster is fairly adamant you get your photographer to use his "Pro software" to do it...

With all due respect to that poster, Bollox!

Our album cost 25% of the best quote received locally and we are delighted with it.

It also is a great opportunity for you and your Mrs to review all the photos, relive the memories and decide on how you want the narrative of your album to play out.
It's a great creative and sentimental project to do together IMO.

Our album has over 200 photos some collage and other bits that really make it unique to us, rather than a template the photographer knows.

    Thanks banie01,

they look great in fairness and certainly the leading choice at the moment.
We'll have a good look at their options over the upcoming wet weekend !

Photobox is good for what it does but it doesn't come close to the quality of a proper professional-grade printer. I've used plenty of printers and used to use Photobox quite a bit for personal stuff but their quality dipped (having started from a fairly average, but competitively priced starting point) so I moved to Artifact Uprising (and I use other EU printers for professional work).

Photobox is only OK quality, grand for family year books etc but not for a specialised thing like a wedding album. Artifact Uprising is fab quality. Wouldn't skimp too much though, pay for quality.
