Not quite a spoon, but not quite a fork either.

This plastic eating utensil was invented circa 1972 and has since transformed the lives of countless millions who consume TV dinners and take away salads.

One of the greatest inventions of all time?

What are your personal experiences with the spork?

    Thoughts?

Tesco had then on special offer a while back afaik ...

Question - has anyone ever been threatened or killed with a spork?

You call that a spork?! This is a spork.

    That's not a spork, that's a fife.

I see you've played Fifey, Sporky before!

I'd like to ask you a couple of questions. One, where's the fife. And two, gimme the fife.

Not plastic, no way jose. Have a lightweight, everlasting glorious Titanium spork.
Other folks mass produce them using (sustanablely grown) bamboo an so on.

Just not a plastic spork - Haven't you heard? Ireland today just declared a climate emergency!
(just the 2nd country to do so).

Yes, the wee country with the lowest broad leaf (carbon absorbing) tree coverage in Europe,
bodies on trolleys, and planned 1,300pm co-shares (42:1 kitchen access) has gone like all polar-bear-defcom.

Did it ever occur to anyone to make a spork that was sharpened along
one side. Nice and sharp, even serrated perhaps. One could then cut food
with the spork thus dispensing with the necessity of a separate, independent knife implement.

    A Snieffrrk.

    That MorselSpork does look useful.

A Mork, obviously: invented by some bright Spork.

    The Mork is Bendy.

There's a few things that make life a little bit more tolerable while working, a Jetboil, fresh socks and jocks, foot powder and top of the list is the humble spork.

I've used them for eating ration packs in flooded trenches and forests of the Wicklow mountains, on 10 day patrols through the rainforest and rubber plantations of Liberia, straight from the back of a MOWAG on long range patrols in Chad or while hanging around in bunkers in Lebanon or Syria.

Hell, I've even used it at home eating dinner.

All hail the mighty spork, without it, my fingers would have been messy while munching my bacon and beans.

Not with a spork but with an ordinary dessert spoon, sharpened on one side.

We called it a Racing spoon

The Aussies had the combination spoon, can opener and (unsurprisingly) bottle opener called FRED, Field Ration Eating Device aka Fcuking Ridiculous Eating Device.
