This was the top story on this evening's BBC News at 6. The three murdered men, found in two locations in the city, are all aged in their 80's. One of pair of them are twins. They have been formally identified by police as Dick & Roger Carter. One other man found by police at a house on Monday morning remains unidentified.

Devon & Cornwall Police have arrested a 27 year old man on suspicion of murder.

I hope the police have caught the right person who committed this recent murder. It is a shocking crime. How low can you get?

British parents in the 1930’s, obviously.

Who makes such comments about the names of two old men who were murdered? That’s right. Exactly.

    May they rest in peace.

I think I'd rather be murdered in my 80s than my 20s.

    Or preferably not at all.

Shocking. All three seemed reclusive, deliberately targeted no doubt. No mention of burglary.

Hate seeing violence against elderly. Why target the vulnerable. So pathetic.Sad they got to live such long life only to be murdered pointlessly. RIP.

    yep, me. That's right.

Seriously though, its shocking and all that and may they rest in peace, but you'll have to forgive me if I don't get too sensitive, or enraged.

Looks like the police suspect there's more here than just some kid preying on the vulnerable.

Well they have a 27 year old.

    Scum.

Obviously murder is unacceptable but you never know what led to this.

Imagine living to your 80's still living at home independently and then to be violently murdered? Doesn't bear thinking about.

Well I can't see 3 elderly people who were quite quiet went out of their way to be killed violently.

    Something in their past perhaps.

Probably just some animal targeting the elderly but you never know.

Another nice one. Junkie killing a 100 year old woman. Survived a WWII concentration camp but was no match for this ****ing drug addict.

Now, give me 1 good reason why Mr Junkie just shouldnt be shot into space without a space suit.
