Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone know what's up with MyEir prepay login?

I am trying to login to my 'myeir' account (pre-pay) to top up my old man's credit, he uses mobile broadband.

Since last week I can't login, their web page says "We're currently working on upgrading and improving myeir for prepay customers" but as usual with Eir they fail to actually provide useful information nor an alternative means to top up an account so I can buy a data bundle for the broadband.

Does anyone have any idea on what's going on?

    Thanks.

    Top up here...
    https://www.eir.ie/mobile/top-up/quick-top-up/

    Which add on is it?

Add ons can be bought via text...
    50GB - Send: 30 Day Extra to 50104
    15GB - Send: 30 Day to 50104

You might want to try sending the text before topping up to see if it gets through...it will probably return an insufficient credit notification after which you can top up the SIM and send the text again.

BTW, there are cheaper options for data than those plans eg most PAYG phone SIMs have more data for lower price depending on which network signal is available at a location.

Thanks a million for that info Ten Pin. It's for the 15GB Add-on. Ah yes, I am aware that I could probably get better value for money but I am topping up on behalf of my old man who is in a different county and to be honest with you it would be far too much hassle trying to implement a change to what he's (barely) familiar with.

You're right though, I mean if I could get him to learn how to remove the sim from the dongle and replace it with the sim from my mother's phone I would but life is too short :)

He rarely uses broadband and is not tied to any contract which is one good thing I suppose.

Is there a smartphone in their house? Hotspot would be an option for a laptop with WiFi if there's any active data allowance on the phone plan.

Anyway, if buying the add on by text doesn't work out then try ringing eir to apply it...

    1800 690 000 or 01 430 7066

Yep, my mother has a smart phone and is a bit more tech savvy, enough to explain to her how to use her phone as a hot spot. The problem lies in guiding my dad through the process of using said hot spot over the phone, patience has run out on my side in the past ðŸ˜႒
