Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Tree rounds for garden steps

    Hi all,
I have received a lot of tree trunks cut into round sections. I have ash (1.5 ft diameter) and sycamore (2ft diameter) . I would like to use them to make steps in our garden.
The wood is green, just cut down a few days ago. I'm looking for some advice on drying the wood and making it waterproof and slip proof .
I am thinking I could dip them in epoxy to waterproof and sprinkle with some sand while epoxy is still wet to prevent slipping.
The big question is do I need to dry the wood and for how long?

    Thanks in advance!
