Sweden will have elevated travel warnings

This has already happened. The Simon Wiesenthal Centre has issued travel warnings to Jews to stay away from parts of Sweden, such as Malmo. Actually it's just an advisory but it's been in place for some time.

I think the world will become far more polarised between the far right neo facists and the SJW far left cultures. Could well escalate into violence and dictatorship takeovers. by the end of 2029 we could see a Trump Kleptocracy operating out of the white house, a one party state with annual dinners with Putin. Trump will personally own facebook, twitter, and all the US media. The EU will have largely broken up and crime and poverty will become rampant as it becomes isolated between the two malignant far right superpowers. China will be largely in crisis too. Sorry for the pessimistic outlook but all objective signals of the past few years is this is where things are heading.

I predict that by the end of the next decade most of the mouth breathing useful idiots (many of whom post on these bulletin boards) who currently believe that climate change is some sort of grand conspiracy to raise taxes will finally see the error of their ways. Unfortunately, it will be too late by then.

I predict that you will still be unbelievably self-righteous.

What age are you Grace? It’s just my auld one is 79 this year, and is still going on international holidays, playing golf, driving, and being an opinionated biddy on everything. Full of life. Now she might pop her clogs tonight, but she doesn’t appear to have been on ‘death watch’ in her own head for the past decade.

I think social media will start to become a thing of the past as we enter the next 10 years. Already huge numbers of people are turning away from FB as they see its just a tool for the narcissistic or the people who just need any platform to speak.
Yeah but you almost need to be on it to keep up with what groups and societies and other pastimes and hobby groups are up to.

EU will add more members towards the end of the decade.
Ireland will get regular fines for not meeting emission standards until middle of the decade.
Fusion reactor tests will finally be deemed successful.
Mars landing by 2028, with faster means of propulsion.
    Dublin will break 2m mark.
FF will spend most of the decade in government.
More 3rd level education will be done online.
There will still be squabbles about the behaviour of the now electric bikes and self driving electric cars!
Someone will crack the Universal Income model.
    Poverty levels will fall worldwide.
It will be a cold decade.
    VR will replace social media!

Had a neighbour of that age who was "dying" every year. Sharp as as pin up until her nineties.

75 is the new 60. I see older people in the next decade enjoying more of life and being more active, thanks to so many more options available, better medical care and decent pensions. Disposable income is growing faster for retirees than any other group and this will continue. Being over 75 myself, I look forward to a decent number of years of active and enjoyable retirement.
The only downside going forward is that those without a pension plan in the 20s will have to work until older and probably under more testing conditions than their forebears.

Maybe somewhere in between. NASA themselves now say a human landing on Mars i both technologically and financially unlikely until at least the late 2030s.

Met Eireann will extend their colour range for weather. (Blue wind and purple rain).
Rich Boy Barret will be Taoiseach with Ruth Coppinger as Tainiste. (Everything will be free).
Ireland will win a World Cup in some sport or other. (Probably hurling).

Johnston's deal will be ratified and Brexit will be a disaster economically for the UK
Scotland will vote to leave the UK
Northern Ireland will have a boarder poll and also vote to leave however the we in the south will narrowly vote against it leaving them in limbo
As mentioned by a lot of people climate change will get worse but at least we will have warmer summers here
It will be continue to be FG/FF running the country although there will be a rise in right wing populism
weed will be first decriminalized them made legal
Alcohol consumption will continue to fall
nearly all of us will be driving electric cars by the end of the decade
Travelers will become integrated into society with younger ones finishing school and going to college
nearly all shopping including groceries will be done online and no physical banks as again everything will be done online
Dublin will win 7/8 all Irelands causing attendances and viewing figures to plummet
Stephen Kenny will be a huge success with Ireland and we will qualify for 3 tournaments
First people going to space as tourists by the end of the decade

Cigarettes will pass the €20 a pack mark.
The average house price in Dublin will go above 500k.
Increasing levels of unemployables and OAPs will put our social welfare system under serious pressure.
Border controls will tighten in the developed world in the face of climate and economic migration.
The backlash against feminism will go mainstream and identity politics will reach it's zenith and begin to die off as the world realises it needs to start dealing with real problems like climate change, wide scale unemployment, migration, ageing populations and water scarcity instead of wasting time listening to people whining about their feelings.
We'll have a number of natural disasters on the scale of the Tsunami of 2004 and we'll start to see internationally funded initiatives in climate engineering (white/reflective roofing etc.).
A western country we formally thought of as part of the "civilised" world will descend into civil war (the UK looks an early candidate for this).
Parties of the left will continue to splinter allowing minority right wing governments to continue to pursue policies that widen the wealth gap.

TL/DR: everything will continue to get worse.

In Europe I think we’ll see another economic downturn linked to another global recession.

The political left will collapse and trade unions will be further decimated and eroded. The political choice will be between the far-right or neo-liberal capitalists; the opposition to this will be a woolly green movement and more mad identity, individualised identity politics with no class analysis.

Climate change will increase and we will begin to see refugees looking to pour into Europe. Automation and an increase in AI will see job losses and precarity increase. As public services decline or disappear and people are split into individual economic actors solidarity will disappear. Crime and alienation will increase and we will see a further slide into authoritarianism.

I honestly think the future is quite bleak.

The war on drugs will end.

Private car ownership for most will end.

Standards of living will go into an irreversible decline due to climate change.

As Europe continues to be culturally enriched hate speech laws will be introduced all across Europe to try to stop people discussing the problems of mass migration.

Politicians will continue to ignore the problems that multiculturalism has brought and more and more Europeans will vote for Far Right parties while left wing types will pretend that it's nothing to do with cultural clashes and that Europe has just inexplicably turned racist for no apparent reason.

The Irish government will continue to increase Foreign Aid spending and spending on Direct Provision while telling the Irish people that they can't afford to build more social housing, provide more hospital beds and continue to cut local services.

Brussels will continue to add more and more Eastern European countries in order to try to offload some of the Sub Saharan Africans and other illegal freeloaders roaming France Italy and Spain.

A concerted move further right in Irish politics, though still less than the extent seen in the last 5-10 years on the Continent.

Leo will be deposed in 2024 after an election loss. Lisa Chambers will become the first woman Taoiseach. Mairead McGuinness will be elected President.

The softest of Brexits will take place using an off-the-shelf deal like Norway, it will stop being a massive issue as Britain faces up to the damage merely talking about it for 5 years has done.

Trump will not be reelected and will be dead long before age 80 due his lifestyle. The houses of Congress will not be under joint control of one Party until the midterm elections of 2026. The first female President will take office, but she will be a Republican.

The centre of world conflict and proxy wars will continue to be the middle east, however Israel and Palestine will agree a peace deal under Prime Minister Benny Gantz. It will be tested.

Workers rights, pension funding and retirement age will continue to erode in a low interest global aging economy. 20's Graduates will expect to work till their mid 70s.

As 65% of emissions contributing to climate change come from fossil fuel burning power generation and industrial processes, principally in the BRIIC countries, I expect the reality in 2030 to be no brighter than 2020. You can drive as many Nissan Leafs and put burp masks on all the livestock in Ireland all you like, it will matter not a damn.
