Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

When a moderator edits a post, why can we not see what the edit is?

Presumably for the common sense reason that the moderator is removing something objectionable and/or in breach of site rules from a post, and if everyone was allowed to simply view the original content afterwards, there wouldn't be much point in removing it in the first place.

Just to add, the only people who can see what the edits were are mods of the forum, relevant CMods, Admins and office staff

If you think about it, if someone posts something potentially defamatory (for example) leaving it visible to all site users leaves the poster and site potentially subject to legal action. Similarly for anything that may prejudice a trial. It's a case of minimising those who view such edits
