Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

After a bit of Googling they were bought by Swatch in the 70's, the brand disappeared for a while and are trying to make a comeback now.
My initial reaction was I like it, price seems decent too, especially with a moon phase thrown in. Would make a nice dress watch, slim profile under the cuff etc.

Maybe others more knowledgeable will correct me but if it's owned by Swatch then perhaps it isn't too bad. Some online comments seem to mention Tissot in the same sentence but I can't find a similar Tissot at that price point in a new or unused condition.

Thanks for the reply run_Forrest_run, was just what i was looking for. Dress watch is the style i was going for. Was looking for opinions on quality and mechanics of this watch as would be clueless in this area.

other 2 watches i was considering were

    https://www.ebay.ie/itm/NEW-Edox-Les-Bemonts-Mens-Perpetual-Calendar-Watch-01602-3-AIN/233193688189

    https://www.ebay.ie/itm/Tissot-Mens-T0354461605100-Couturier-Analog-Display-Swiss-Quartz-Black-Watch/283603935544

i like all 3 but getting it hard to decide and to pull the trigger on one.

two nice and quite different watches, you're definitely torn :D
I have a penchant for white dials and along with the perpetual calendar it pips the Tissot for me. I wouldn't be a fan of the analog display on the Tissot, I feel it takes from the classic look of the watch.

Edox were affiliated with the General Watch Co (a watch brand holding subsidiary of ASUAG) but were sold off in 1983 before ASUAG and SSIH (Omega and Tissot) merged to become Swatch. They are are now a privately owned brand with a history of continuous production since they were founded in 1884. They are probably best known in recent years as the timing partner for the World Rally Championship.

Just a reminder that you will pay customs charges.

The first one is quite nice....

Hi all, so was leaning towards the tissot, but not altogether happy with the digital date. Had another look around and found this one which looked to be a bargain, pulled the trigger and am happy enough with the purchase. I will update on condition etc when it arrives but from photos it looks to be in mint condition.
