Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Robocop The directors cut.
Film has withstood the test of time admirably I think. I'm a big fan of Paul Verhoevens veiled America-bashing, The director/writer/someotherguy commentary is excellent too.

I watched what I thought would be the movie "le femme nikita" on channel 5. it turned out to be the previously unheard of, completly americanised, terribly scripted, utterly shíte made for TV series.
I'm still annoyed about how bad it was.

The Wizard of Oz. Cool in a trippy kind of way plus that's where the idea of armies of winged monkeys must have come from!

    The Ring

It was crap. Nicely made but crap. Not a patch on the original and the whole horse thing was so stupid.
Also when they splice in that picture of a ring that just annoyed me too.
    And
at the end when the kid is making the copy and goes "it will never end will it" "what will happen to the person we show this to", they may aswell have just said "Hey this why the film is called the ring, because you have to continually pass the video on to survive".

Bah, go watch the original leave this one well alone.

On the other hand, Naomi Watts, I definitely would. :D

Indy Jones and the Last Crusade, a few hours ago.

I dunno, Indy films are always good watching, especially with nazis. And Ford and Connery made a great father/son team.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,472 ✭✭✭echomadman

Return of the King :dunno:, wasn't that impressed, like TTT i suspect the extended edition will be miles better

Forget Ford and Connery its Alison Doody in black leather that does it for me! :)

I watched Meet the Parents on BBC 1 - quiet good, I liked the Ben Stiller- Robert DeNiro "tension"...
