Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Hey all, looking to get a new PC for the kids for Christmas, its been a few years since I built the last one which has served us well but showing its age (R9 270X + 32GB RAM + i5 3470). I have a preference in Intel procs but open to suggestions.

    1. What is your budget?

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer?
    Gaming [Far Cry 5 / Fortnight etc...]

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows?
    No

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer?
    No

    5. Do you need a monitor?
    Yes

    5a. If yes, what size do you need
    27" min - bigger the better - 2k would be ideal.

    5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future?

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals?
    No

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking?
