Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Looks about a step or two away from novelty fights . Fury vs 2 welters anyone? :) (that autocorrected to welders first. He's already fighting those)

Probably be 2 flyweights as a better balance :)

Sad seeing this when you look back at the performances vs the likes of Chisora and Hammer

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,022 ✭✭✭anthonyjmaher

The commentators are really annoying with their "controlling the narrative". Making excuses to counter the argument from the "people out there who will be saying that he should have taken them out of there". Just commentate on the fight, stop trying to justify Fury's performance before the fight has even finished.

    Shades of tatum vs simpson

Because Fury is fighting safe? You're having a laugh.

The commentators are explaining why he is "breaking his opponents down slowly".

You actually listen to those Muppets??

To boxing fans this isn't sad in the slightest. Has he even lost a round yet going into the final one?

How much could a guy expect to make for getting tapped on the top of the head by fury out for a walk for 10 rounds?

Might throw them an email tomorrow......

Shades of Satan fighting in South Park, oh you got me now I go back to hell a much richer prince of darkness. Boxing isn't a ppv sport any more unless it's a novelty fight or a grudge match bouts like this are terrestrial at best.

Unless I am way off I’d fear for Fury’s safety vs. Wilder!

Yep and I would be saying the same as them with it on mute.

Fury by decision @ 3/1 was as good of odds you'll get.

People acting like he didn't fight like this vs Klitschko and win easily.

At this stage of his career his fights should be all title fights or defences, not exhibitions to warm up the crowd for a proper fight.

Imagine if you were a fury fan paying to travel to see this stuff (though it'd be easy to say thatd be your own fault seeing as everyone knew what was going on)

Thing is, Fury's next fight will probably be ppv

That was a bit pathetic announcement

    Ok,

    The fight is on...

Either it’s on or Fury goes on another bender..

Oh dear, that was just awful. Whether thats the fault of Fury or Pianata is hard to tell. Hopefully the next match is a lot better.

Great that the kinahan man Barnes was beat.

He'd really want to fight an actual boxer between now and a fight with wilder.

10 rounds of never looking like you were even in the slightest bit of trouble.

    Face looks untouched.

I hope AJ who got laid on his arse vs Wk, got very questionable decisions in the olympics, didn't impress since his WK win vs bums, doesn't dodge him and Wilder anymore.

The Great British hope looking for these two to take out each other. The same hope Tyson calls out while I'm typing this. So predictable. Joshua is an absolute joke.

    That was the point.
He should be sparring in the gym, not on TV getting paid for it.

Aw lads please stop trying to sell it, it's just embarrassing. yer man that sold the SuperMop on the advertising channel did a better job.

Very underwhelming, but then everything that Warren puts together is always anti climactic.

the guy who beat Wladimir Klitschko using the same tactics without looking like he was in danger.

AJ got laid out on his arse and I believe he was down on the score cards vs the a beaten older verson of Klitschko

He was not down on the cards.

Take your tongue out of Fury’s ring. It’s embarrassing..

Sorry I had to google it, since I said "I believe". The commentators and so did 1 of the 3 judges had AJ down when WK was old, past his prime and looked beatable (still knocked your boy clean on his arse)

The one AJ talks about constantly and even has in his own ads? I don't remember him pleading guilty, did he?

Fury is a working class guy, AJ is a boarding school nonce who the British media love.

Strabanimal has existed as a term longer than he was born. Either way he's doing more than you were doing at 21. I don't even follow him, everyone in our town is tough, it's no surprise he's doing decent you all know him down south.

Good way at deflecting about a boxing discussion by mentioning mma though. Try harder.

The speed difference is ridiculous. Normally the smaller fighters are on before the heavies, I guess it's all in the contrast.

Again you avoid any discussion about boxing. You're being ignored now.
