Alright boardsies I need your help. I've a date tomorrow evening with a pretty lady in Dublin city center but I can't for the life of my find anywhere to book a table for. All my normal spots are either closed or fully booked. A decent bar for food and drink is all I'm asking for :D

    Help a brother out!

At such short notice, I'm sure she would forgive you for skipping the meal.

The Ivy on Dawson Street normally holds back 30% of seats for walk ups.

    Or try Lemon & Duke?

    Try the open table app?

Bring a picnic to Stephen's Green or Merrion Square. But you have to be organised lol.

Backpack the vino and a few hang sangwiches. She will love you for being innovative. Weather looks good, so skip the pub.

If you're stuck you could try a really nice hotel lobby for some drinks, The Westbury, Merrion, The Grafton, The Weston etc. They are quiet and no problem with social distancing.

It looks like you made an effort even if you didn't!

That would be a great story for his grandchildren - I took your granny for her first date in supermacs and we shared a dinner box :D : D

Why not cook and invite her to dine at your table?

Why not cook and invite her to dine at your table?

And then sleep in your bed

If it goes well you can suggest booking a room too. :pac:

I was walking by the Schoolhouse on the way to work today and the chalkboard outside say they were taking bookings and welcome walk ins:

    https://www.schoolhousehotel.com/

    You could try them.

But honestly, OP, agreeing to a date without making an arrangement in the current climate; I don't hold out much hope for you.
