Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Bargain Alerts App (for iPhone / iPod Touch)

    Some big news here for Bargain Alerts.

    Since Bargain Alerts is regularly in the top 3 visited forums on Boards, it was chosen as a test candidate for an iPhone app.

    This has been in development for a while now by Conor and Ross and they just got approval from Apple and it's now available in the App Store.

    You can search for 'Boards.ie' in the App Store or click below to download it:

    It's free for a certain period but will cost €0.99c thereafter!

    Any feedback as usual is appreciated!

    As I mentioned above, not yet unfortunately.

    Conor and Ross have mentioned they'll get working on one soon.. but to be honest, they're aiming at the Apple fanboys (like myself) who have more money than sense... and grab for anything shiny and white.

    Cant find this in Apps store from my iTouch.
    Cant change region to UK as mentioned above because it says I have store credit and have to spend before I can change region.
    Any chance of it being available in Ireland?

    It took me a while to find it on the App Store as well, I think there's a problem with Apple's server. But I finally got it installed and I'm posting from it now. Very cool, but still a bit buggy.

    Oh and screw the Android version. It's not needed. Let them get a proper phone.

    Doesn't show up in the app store for me either, and downloading through itunes is more trouble than its worth.

    I installed this and I think it bricked my iPhone!!! I got error code 1009 "Cannot install app" although it's already there. Then it said COMM_APP_FAILURE Press CMD+OPT+ESC. How do I do this?? A reset didn't work either. I need this phone guys! It's a 3G if that's any help.

    Sorry I'm not full of gushing enthusiasm about this..... it doesn't behave itself on a jailbroken ipod touch. It crashed on me, twice.

    Are we beta testers now, or did it go through any kind of testing at all before it was published?

    Yeah.
    You just slot your iPhone into where you'd normally slot the game cartridge, the iPhone will recognise the Megadrive, and sync accordingly.

    At least that's what happened when I tried it with my SNES earlier on!
