    Hi all,

Yes, I know. PR. Waffle and fluff perhaps, but I have been looking at options here to upskill to get away from what I'm doing.

I am looking to do a distance learning course as I'm not in a position to be able to go to Dublin etc a few evenings a week.

I work in digital marketing, which is ok a lot of the time. The area I work in involves number crunching, all the time, so much so I´ll go insane.

I went back to a journalism MA a few years ago, with the intention of getting into the content side of digital, but to no avail, and bills needed to be paid, so back working in the paid ads side of things again.

The more I look at PR and some of the skills you pick up such as writing press releases etc, the more I think it could be useful for the purposes of SEO, and online content.

In the MA, we didn't really do anything on press releases, briefs, etc, and a lot of SEO would involve brand management online anyhow, so it all overlaps.

I had been thinking of doing this one: https://www.fitzwilliaminstitute.ie/online-diploma-courses/public-relations-courses/Diploma-in-Public-Relations-Distance-Learning/

Has anyone any advice on this or on other online courses in Ire, UK, etc? I'm not looking for a degree, or another Masters etc, just something solid which would piggy back on what I have already.
