Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Zinc Standing Seam Roof

Anyone any experience with installing a zinc standing seam roof in a house? Any issues with impact noise from rain etc?

Plan is to install a black zinc standing seam warm roof system above an exposed truss internally with the timber purlins spanning from truss to truss partially exposed as well - to kind of look like ribs. Hoping the insulation underneath the zinc will absorb the sound. Could also add an extra layer of insulation between each purlin to mitigate it. Probably a pipe dream as the chances of me affording it are slim and none but we can all dream.

With cost in mind though if anyone knows of more affordable alternatives to black zinc I'm all ears.
