Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

have the option to book a fairly major holiday for September and the above is the desired destination.

Trying to decide on this seems to be a lottery though as the goalposts are still moving very often, what are the thoughts on this.

Anyone else planning something like this in Sep / Oct

I wouldn't book it. You're talking significant funds and there's just too much uncertainty at the moment. Can you push it back 12 months?

Would tend to agree, Spain or mainland Europe is one thing, but that's a fair strech if goes tits up.

    Maybe wait till next year

Hmmmmm... It's for our wedding and it's already been pushed out 18 months....

Wait until October, the deep sea fishing is better then.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

I'm sure I can hold off paying the full amount until fairly close to departure and could gamble on the deposit...

Mauritius is opening up (expected to) end of June, if Ireland starts Intl travel sometime in July it could be a calculated risk.... Mid September would surely be a fairly "good bet"

"Expected to" and "if" signal a gamble. A honeymoon is a tradition, not a necessity. I would definitely push it back, if not a full year then at least by a few months - not booking until travel is open and safe.

Agreed it is a gamble, so we are looking at other options, registry wedding in the UK, a bit of a celebration and then look at the long haul honeymoon later in the year.
