Help Grow Grass in dead patches in lawn

Had some dead grass and dug around it and put some compost and then seed using the below about 4 days ago

Use sprinkler in the morning and then hose late in the evening

Currently looking like this not great

Grass around the garden growing but not in the patches I want and i don't want to cut grass until patches start growing.

So is it just give it more time or is there anything else I can do

Four days is not long enough to know whether grass is growing, give it a couple of weeks. I don't see any reason why you would not continue to mow your lawn, the patches are small, it should not make any difference to them.

Was trying to see if mowing the lawn would have any affect on the seeding.

Agree need to give it time just was more cautious on when to mow lawn
