Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone been following this over the past few months?

It kicks off on June 19th. The league will be mostly German-based for the first season with one Polish and one Spanish team also involved. Teams are limited to 4 'import players' so the rosters will be mostly European players.

They are hoping/planning to expand to other European countries in the next few years and have an English team along with teams in France, Denmark and Turkey among other places. In total they hope to expand to up to 24 teams according to the Wikipedia article.

The comnmissioner is Patrick Esume who was a player in Germany back in the 90s and later an NFL Europe coach. He is a good friend of Kasim Edebali who played for the Saints & Broncos among others. He will play for his home town team the Hamburg Sea Devils this season and is probably the most well known player.

The NFL aren't involved in this, although they have cooperated with the ELF and allowed 5 of the teams to use their previous NFL Europe names which the NFL still own the rights to.

As for TV coverage the games will be shown on the FTA German channel ProSieben and others streamed on the ProSieben website.

It would be nice if we had a league in Europe to watch over the summer so I hope it grows and is a success.

Prosieben is available on Astra 19.2. glad I still have that dish now.

Great to get up and running but after xfl and the other one, summer leagues seem cursed

Glad to see the NFL allowing the teams/cities to use the old names - hopefully that will keep the Original NFL europe fans engaged. I would love to see this become a strong league.
