Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, been cycling to work now on And off for a few months , looking for advice on a routine to get more distance on the bike.
I know men's health did a step by step programme for beginners a while back but can't seem to find it.
    Many thanks

Best advice I ever got was ........ padded cycling shorts, over comes the limiting factor of your bum, wea them under track suit if embarrassed and just go for it . Where you based and we'll suggest routes

Cycle to work every day. Take a few detours on the way home.

Yep, I stared cycling in October and love doing it every day. Now I extended my route to a wee bit over 26km each way by going through more interesting country lanes and I will keep it that way for now, as the main road is simply boring and (should I say that?) not as safe, and not the most pleasant place to be while on a bike.
Anyway, try various routes, find some hills that you can challenge and extend your cycle from time to time. And most importantly - enjoy it, that is what is all about :).
