Irish Pinball League 2015/16

OK so a new pinball league is starting in October and wanted to let everyone here know the details.

Round one will be held in Waterford on Sunday the 18th of October. Practice is from 1pm until 3pm and the league games start at 3pm. Entry is 3 euro and there will be some nice food and stuff for 3 euro aswell (The league money goes to the people who run it and food money goes to me to cover the costs of buying and cooking it all

)

Its going to be held in my garage where I built my own games room this year. There should be 5 pins for playing on the day, I'll announce them sooner to the day and once they are all 100% confirmed. I'll have a few consoles hooked up aswell for some gaming goodness.

Since its in my house I wont be posting the directions up here but rather anyone who wants to come down send me a PM and I'll send you on the directions.

Hope to see a few A&R heads there

Ill post up a few pics tonight. Probably the roughest game ive ever seen in person.

Might be investing in a rock tumbler and all just for all the metal.

I got it cheap and have the room my garage to tip away at it

Heres a few pictures of the new SF pin. Going to need a lot of work but the pf is good and plastice are all good. Apart from Balrogs plastics that has a huge blister from a bulb underneath it that I can only assume was wrong. Power cord was cut aswell so havnt even turned it on. Kind of scared to really since it could be dead.

The big damage was on the cabinet. People tried to move it with the backbox up. Must have taken some effort to break the timber because I had to chisel off the side that was attached. Its all fixable though.

Boards all look to be good though and I already started stripping the PF.

No more room atm and still have the unfinished poker cab (more on that later......)

I'm interested Jack, but I don't know any of you guys on here. I also would not have a chance in a competition! Still dying to get a few games in on Theater of Magic. The only one of those I've ever played before was in Vienna, and the chest was broken!
Don't think I've played any of the others.

and about the competition, I'm pretty **** myself at the game so I wouldnt worry about that, its just more a laugh and an excuse to play pinball really.

Great spread, and great to meet ya and your better half for the first time, and see the 'nordy' crew again! Pure gents.
Some great pinball today, next time we're on hols up there i'll hit ya up for an hour of freeplay!!

And congrats to brownfinger, receiving his trophy for last years meet, and going top of the leaderboard already!

Pity ya couldn't get a hole in one on no good gofers!!

Round 3 of the league is on Sunday in Belfast. Heading up myself so anyone who wants to come for the day is more than welcome to hop in with me. Ill be driving past the park and ride Luas on the motorway
