Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Evening guys,

We are heading to Achill soon and would like to bring the kids fishing off the pier.
Long story short, we blanked the last few times Like fishing and I'd like to catch a few fish to see can I keep the youngest one interested.
What methods and bait is best for some light float fishing off a pier? What do I have a chance in catching.
They're too small and weak to be casting out for mackeral.
We used rag in Liscannor a few years ago and it worked great for small wrasse.

    Thanks

Most tackle shops will sell isome worms. Plastic ragworm that hang the hook muck better than normal rag pieces. If your just looking to keep the kids occupied get micro sabikis (size 16 hooks) and put a tiny piece (small fingernail size) of bait on the 2 bottom hooks. Should attract tiddlers in from below the pier
