This could be the beginning of my first cliff horse in a while .
Was due to run at Kempton recently (at forecast of 20/1.... I would’ve had a right go at that) but opened up around 7s. Saw good support , halved in price and then got withdrawn .
Rattled up a hat trick over 7f at Kempton at the start of the year and gets that distance on polytrack for the first time since .
Drawn low , he likes to go forward and Josephine Gordon rides .
The fav , Agent Of Fortune should be winning this Classified Stakes race on paper but I can’t let Elusif go unbacked as I really feel he’ll pop up again under similar conditions .
Will watch the market tomorrow with interest (he opened 8s , out to 10s now) and he’s entered in a Class 7 handicap here on Thursday too , drawn 1 for that with same jockey down to ride .

4.50 Chelmsford tomorrow .... likely a similar story re the favourite , Elliot not sending it over for the spin .
But it’s not called a cliff horse for nothing ...

Not what I was hoping for after almost 6 weeks but that’s how it goes . At the prices it just takes a few small things to fall right and the P&L looks a lot better . Hopefully that happens sooner rather than later ....

Most of my bets are in low grade handicaps where the motivation for connections to nick a place just isn’t there .
I back quite a few each day so going each way would also bring exposure to a level I wouldn’t really be happy at .
There’ll be times where I’ll have an ew bet under certain conditions but not often ..


Yeah , you’re right . They always pan out over time, I’m just prone to whinging when I’m in the middle of one that’s all !

Nothing standing out at a price tomorrow , I’ll keep an eye for a drift or 2 in the morning . If it’s a no-bet day then it looks like Friday will make up for it ..
